Many people find the process for direct care payments a little complicated, so opt for second best i.e. a managed service, which does not guarantee who is going to call and when.
Julie and Jan have many years’ experience in Local Authority and NHS Trust systems and processes, and will help people and their families to navigate their way around the Direct Payment for Care routes. They will liaise with Social Care Departments, in the initial stages, and also at any review stage when extra time and/or an increase is needed at the request of the service user.
The PACT Partnerships website provides access to many publications, and direct links to local, regional and national charities and voluntary organisations, that may be able to offer assistance and guidance when deciding how to access services for people who want to be cared for at home.
